I pause at the window. Everything is a wash of cold, pointed, gray and blue. While looking out, a small feathered form is looking in. As I wonder at how such a tiny bird can survive the weather, that little fellow is probably wondering why I would remain hidden inside.
When a sense of deep winter settles over the land…or over the heart…it becomes a challenge to believe that there will ever be warmth again. But there will in time…all in good time…
